Practice areas
Civil practice first. Housing next. Limited family when it fits.
This is a civil practice first — small claims, New Jersey Special Civil Part, landlord/tenant, and related limited-scope civil work — with a limited amount of family work on the side when it fits. This page is a hub. Each practice area has its own page. Fees, including what is in scope and what is not, live on the fees page.
-
Civil — small claims & Special Civil
Small claims and Special Civil Part money disputes, limited-scope pleadings and appearances, car-accident negotiation, and related civil work. No invented appearance prices.
-
Housing — landlord & tenant
Landlord and tenant work when I believe the case. L&T sits in Special Civil Part in New Jersey. I generally stand with tenants. Security-deposit recovery has published fees.
-
Small business
LLC formation and an operating agreement at a published fee. Other small-business contracts quoted case by case. One party only. Not general counsel on retainer.
-
Discrimination
Help when you were treated unfairly because of who you are. A notice letter to one employer is a published fee.
-
Limited family work
A smaller part of this practice — not the main brand. Marital settlement drafting and a pro se divorce roadmap when the terms are already agreed; parenting time and child support. Limited-scope. Contested work only on a very limited basis, with a retainer.
-
Name changes
Adult petitions start to finish. Child petitions when there is consent or no objection.
-
Agreements
Known-donor, co-parenting or multi-parent intent, and settlement or parenting-plan review. One party only.
-
Wills for parents
Will, power of attorney, and advance directive. Signing included. No trusts, Medicaid, special-needs planning, deeds, or probate in that fee.
-
IEP and 504 support
Review, one meeting, follow-up letter. Not due process.
-
Car accident settlement negotiation
One negotiation session and one demand letter. No percentage of your settlement, no contingency. Scope is on the fees page.
-
Civil or family mediation
A neutral third party for a defined mediation session, for family or general civil disputes. Not the court's mediation program.
-
Real estate review letter
A letter. Not a closing. Scope is on the fees page.

Other matters
Case by case, and limited. I do not hold this office out for criminal defense, immigration, patent, securities, or tax-controversy representation.
